Welcome to the
Mid-America Orthopaedic Association web site. Mid-America is the regional
orthopedic society for orthopedic surgeons in the following 20 states: Alabama, Arkansas,
Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi,
Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, and
Wisconsin.

Origin and Purpose:
The Mid-America Orthopaedic
Association was formed in 1982 as a regional orthopedic association which would complement
the Eastern Orthopaedic Association and Western Orthopaedic Association.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Mid-America Orthopaedic
Association is to enhance the musculoskeletal health and well being of all
people through orthopedic education and research, and to promote fellowship
and socialization amongst members
